Neo ANT+ Sensor IDs Hidden On Wahoo Elemnt

When using your Wahoo Elemnt or Elemnt App to pair devices to your cycling computer, you can see Power, or Speed / Cadence, but not both.

Neo has a 5 digit ANT+ ID for the FE-C trainer, and a 4 digit ANT+ ID for both the Power and Speed / Cadence sensors. The Wahoo Elemnt cycling computer / Elemnt app determines that the 4 digit ANT+ IDs are duplicates, and therefore, one of the two is discarded. When this happens, you will randomly see either the Power sensor, or the Speed / Cadence sensor in your pairing options, but not both at the same time.

This is a known issue with the Wahoo Elemnt cycling computer, and the Wahoo Elemnt mobile app. Wahoo is aware of the problem, and are working on a firmware solution for this issue. This article will be updated as additional information becomes available.

If you specifically need either the Power or Speed / Cadence, restart the Wahoo Elemnt mobile app, and go into “Set Up Sensors”. You have a 50 / 50 chance of seeing either Power or Speed / Cadence. You may have to repeat this process several times until you get lucky.
